1st Customer Review : Very Strong - A Must for Hand Sewing
I bought this because I was in a hurry to start working on a project from Natalie Chanin's book, "Alabama Studio Sewing & Design" (a wonderful book!) and I could get it overnight via Amazon. It is less expensive if you buy it somewhere else, including the Alabama Chanin website (though you might want to calculate shipping to compare). I won't take stars off my review for price since I know that I read reviews to find out about products.
Chanin recommends a process she calls "loving your thread" which really works to prevent tangles as you are sewing (you can read about it in any of her 3 books or by viewing online videos of her doing it). This is the strongest thread you can buy. It has a polyester core wrapped with cotton.
It can be tricky to thread onto one's needle, as it is fairly thick, but I was able to thread it onto Richard Hemming & Son #10 Milliner needles which are the needles that Chanin recommends for beading (which I personally...
