1st Customer Review : Great for upholstered buttons on my tufted headboard project
This is very heavy duty thread that is waxed in such a way that it is very easy to work with and will hold a knot like steel. I installed 19 3/4-inch upholstered buttons through firm 2-inch foam core mounted on 3/4-inch plywood, drawing the buttons over fabric and batting into the foam core to a depth of 1 inch, then secured the thread on the back of the plywood using staples, then knotting the ends. The waxed thread is easy to hold with fingers and tools, and does not slip under staples or when knotted.

I am reupholstering a 1940s sofa and needed to tuft the cushions on it. This thread worked perfectly, pulling through the foam, horsehair, and extra cushioning with no problems, then knotting firmly.
